Once again, CareerCast’s annual occupations report has named newspaper reporter the worst job in the nation. Newspaper reporter came in last out of 200 jobs for the third consecutive year.
CareerCast’s report analyzes income, workplace environment and outlook to come up with its list. It’s not scientific and really doesn’t mean anything at all. But it’s kind of fun to rile up journalists who take it seriously, so here we are.
Newspaper reporter was the worst job, followed by logger, broadcaster, radio DJ and enlisted military members.
On the flip side of the report was data scientist, which was ranked as the best job even though it sounds completely made up.
