New York City journalist, author and screenwriter Pete Hamill is next up in the Newseum’s “Inside Media” series. The only person to have served as editor-in-chief of both New York tabloids, Pete knows Big Apple journalism like no other.
During his career Hamill worked for New York Herald Tribune, New York Post, New York Daily News, the Village Voice, and New York Newsday. His longer journalistic work has appeared in New York magazine, the New Yorker, Esquire, Playboy, Rolling Stone, and other periodicals.
Join Pete this Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 1:30 PM in the Newseum’s Knight TV Studio where he’ll discuss his new novel, “Tabloid City,” that chronicles the extraordinary drama of one fateful day in New York, following the double murder of a socialite and her social secretary. A book signing will follow the program.
