News Corp. Taking In Flixster?

FlixsterLogo.jpgNews Corp. has been a very interested observer of movie-themed social-networking site Flixster as of late, with the site being eyed for acquisition by both News Corp.-owned social-networking site MySpace and by the parent company itself with an eye toward combining it with its Rotten Tomatoes, AllThingsD reported.

According to AllThingsD, IAC had a deal set to acquire Flixster in 2007 for $100 million, but CEO Barry Diller backed out at the last minute.

Flixster tallies some 50 million members, and it also boasts the No. 1 movie-related iPhone app, according to AllThingsD.
