News Corp. Confirms Interest in Formula 1 Racing
Well, well, well! Apparently the President of F1 Racing was wrong to dismiss the rumors of News Corporation purchasing the sport. The Wall Street Journal reports that News Corp. and Italian company Exor SpA issued a joint statement confirming the F1 rumors once and for all:
The companies added that they are ‘in the early stages of exploring the possibility of creating a consortium with a view to formulating a long-term plan for the development of Formula One in the interests of the participants and the fans.’
