New York Times Sports Editor Tom Jolly Moves To Nighttime News Shift

After an eight-year run marked by controversy, sports editor Tom Jolly is moving upstairs for the night news editor role at the New York Times.  Although Jolly may be heading to a higher floor Media Ink‘s Keith Kelly says sources close to the situation do not consider the job change to be a promotion.  Jolly is not the most popular guy in the newsroom and has been under fire since his handling of the 2006 Duke University lacrosse case in which three players were falsely accused of rape.
