New York Media Names Avi Zimak Its New CRO and Publisher

He joins from Outbrain

New York magazine parent company New York Media has named Avi Zimak its new chief revenue officer and publisher. Zimak takes over for Larry Burstein, who announced in November he would step down after 13 years in the role following the hire of his replacement.

Zimak will continue to build on what Burstein has built at New York Media while bringing to the position his own experience on both sides of the media sales equation.

Zimak arrives from content-recommendation company Outbrain, where his most recent role was vice president and general manager, the Americas.
