New York Daily News Headquarters Destroyed by Hurricane Sandy

The New York Daily News’ headquarters, at 4 New York Plaza, were wiped out by Hurricane Sandy. According to The New York Observer, the damage was so bad that the offices — which also house US News & World Report — might be uninhabitable for a year.

“We have just leased some other space for nine months to a year just to make sure that we can keep the magazine and the newspaper going,” said Mort Zuckerman, at a real estate conference.
