New Survey Reveals Employers Fill Lower Level Jobs With College Degree Holders

If CareerBuilder’s latest survey is any indication, having earned a high school diploma and not continuing with one’s education is getting phased out.

For instance, employers are looking for college educated candidates to fill high level positions but it turns out they’re also seeking to fill degree holders with lower level roles as well.

As per the survey, 32 percent of hiring managers indicated they’re extending hires to employees who possess their college degrees more than in the past for jobs previously held by high school diploma holders.

According to the release, Brent Rasmussen, president of CareerBuilder North America, indicated, “Employers are filling more entry level functions with educated labor.
