Amazon is getting all the press today with the expected launch of the new devices and the leaked Kindle commercial yesterday, but that doesn’t matter to the Apple fanboys. What looks to be yet another iPad Mini component may have leaked from the factory.
Tech.163.com got their hands on photos of the leaked part. According to their source, it came from one of the milling machine (CNC) companies who, if this part is real, would be working on programming the machines to properly cut all the holes, notches, and other details in the shell. As you can see above and below, it looks an awful lot like past iPad Mini leaks. It has the 2 speaker grills on the lower edge, smaller dock connector, and a cut out for a camera.
But is it real? I don’t know, but the current rumors suggest we might be finding out sometime in October. There’s also more photos over at Tech.163.com if you have not yet made up your mind.
