Do you plan to attend a live taping of ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’, ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’ or ‘Saturday Night Live’? If so, you can now unlock exclusive stickers on GetGlue. This not only marks the expansion of GetGlue’s relationship with NBC, but it’s also the first time that a social TV app is letting fans check-in to a live studio audience.
This new partnership between GetGlue and NBC was announced yesterday by Vivi Zigler, the President of NBC Universal Digital Entertainment and Alex Iskold, the CEO and Founder of GetGlue. Iskold said, “We are thrilled to grow our relationship with NBC by creating super exclusive stickers for those fans who attend a live taping of the ‘Tonight Show’, ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ and ‘Saturday Night Live.’”
NBC’s Zigler added, “NBC’s late night shows are natural partners for premiering this GetGlue initiative as fans not only tune-in, but also line-up for the ‘Tonight Show’ and ‘Late Show’ five nights a week and what fan wouldn’t want to share that they are in the studio audience for a ‘Saturday Night Live’ taping.”
The new service rolled out last night at the tapings of ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ and ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.’ Live audience members will also be able to check in when they line up for the fall premiere of ‘Saturday Night Live’ on Saturday, September 24.
You can check out the exclusive stickers in the image at the top of the post and let us know what you think about this new offering from GetGlue and NBC. I must admit that I would be totally psyched to be in the live studio audience for any of these shows and if I was I’d definitely check-in for the exclusive sticker so I could show off to my friends. I look forward to seeing what other check-in arenas GetGlue will get into with future partnerships.
