And — gasp! — Dana Priest and Anne Hull didn’t take first place?!? The pair’s Walter Reed reporting was bested in the public service reporting category by the Chicago Tribune’s “Hidden Hazards” series.

washingtonpost.com won the web reporting category for “Fixing D.C.’s Schools.”

And the McClatchy Washington Bureau won the Washington reporting category “for its work linking the unexplained firings of nine U.S. attorneys to interventions by top officials in the White House and U.S. Justice Department.”
