National Geographic Begins Printing In Arabic

National Geographic magazine is expanding its readership by planning to print in Arabic. The editor in chief of this new edition, due out in October, is Mohamed al-Hammadi. National Geographic Al Arabiya is set to reach Arabic-speaking readers in 15 countries and will include both original pieces (the magazine hopes that at least one fifth of the new edition’s content will be original) and translated version of articles originally written in English.

To help with the task, National Magazine has enlisted the help of a panel of seven, including experts in the fields of archaeology, medicine and space.
