Over the weekend, popular YouTuber Joe Penna, aka MysteryGuitarMan, did an AMA (ask me anything) on Reddit, revealing some interesting information about the implications of YouTube’s new redesign. In response to a fan that asked about decreasing or stabilizing views, Penna writes, “I think the new YouTube algorithm is also to blame. I had my average video views drop around 60% the day the new YouTube home page came out.”
Back in December, YouTube initiated a complete revamp of their site.
