MySpace Music Launches in Australia, New Zealand

MySpace officially launched MySpace Music in Australia and New Zealand with the same functionality already available to its existing users in the United States.

The joint venture between the social-networking site, EMI Music, Sony Music, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group offers content from those four major music labels, as well as from independent digital-music aggregators The Orchard and IODA.

Users can also purchase and download single songs and full albums on iTunes.

MySpace managing director and senior vice president of international Rebekah Horne said:

The nature of music consumption globally has changed, and MySpace Music is delighted to be part of that evolution.
