MySpace: ‘Don’t Believe the Type’

News Corp. is launching an ad campaign responding to criticism over the safety of social-networking sites, like Myspace.com, frequented by kids, The Wall Street Journal reports today. The ads, tagged “Don’t believe the type” and slated to appear on Fox’s television networks, don’t mention Myspace directly.

Now, if only they’d launch an ad campaign against alt. rock bands of questionable talent with MySpace pages … if only.
