Twitter has long been a haven for celebrities of all stripes, and new numbers show just how big of a deal the 140-character services has become for singers, rappers, bands and musicians.

Most notably, Katy Perry won the “Queen of Twitter” crown, as she ends the year as the most followed person (musician or otherwise) on Twitter with 48.5 million followers.
