Hollywood Reporter put out its Women in Entertainment Power 100 list, topping it with Amy Pascal, co-chair of Sony Pictures Entertainment and ending it with Robin Kaminsky, exec vp of publishing for Activision. That leaves 98 other women that Hollywood Reporter deemed “powerful” and “inspiring.” Ninety-eight, and our names didn’t pop up anywhere.
To celebrate themselves, the Hollywood Reporter hosted a breakfast yesterday at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where Meryl Streep (also not on the list) was honored with the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award. Streep had a great line, that played well to her audience:
The self-effacing actress told the gathering that she was surprised to be chosen for a leadership award.
“I’m not the leader of anything or anybody,” said Streep, 57. “I can’t even get people to put their dishes in the dishwasher.”
