The program was No. 1, averaging 4.300 million total viewers". Charlie Gibson blogs on McCain's VP Pick & Obama Speech. A release announced, "On August 28, night four of the Democratic National Convention in Denver, ABC News was the most-watched broadcast network in total viewers. ABC's primetime coverage averaged 6.58 million Total Viewers and a 2.4/ 6 among Adults 25-54. The coverage aired live across the country from 10-11:07 p.m., ET." A NBC release announced, "America turned to the networks of NBC News for its coverage of the Democratic National Convention. During the week that the DNC gathered in Denver, Colorado, more than 7.852 million viewers tuned into the networks of NBC News. AdWeek reports, "Agency creative directors put their spin on the presidential campaigns" "Human Events Political Editor John Gizzi started profiling possible McCain running mates last spring and by the time he was done Gizzi had looked at 15 possible GOP contenders for the post.
