It looks like job search site Monster.com is quietly taking on LinkedIn through a Facebook service and mobile apps. Its BeKnown is a professional networking Facebook app that now also has mobile reach through a mobile friendly site and apps released for Android and iOS (iPhone/iPad) in this week.

The BeKnown mobile apps features the following capabilities:
– View user profiles
– Make new connections
– View network updates
– Exchange messages between connections
– Receive push notifications (iPhone app only)
– Search for Monster jobs
– Discover jobs posted by connections
While BeKnown does not have complete overlap with LinkedIn, it certaily does seem to aim at the same market.
