Mobile Shopping Is on the Rise, But Security Is at Risk (Infographic)

While mobile devices have become a core part of the digital retail experience, less than half of mobile shoppers have installed third party security apps.

The proliferation of mobile devices has had a large impact on everything from advertising to user behavior and shopping habits. An infographic from mobile security provider Trustlook examines user behavior on mobile during the holiday season and the issues with mobile device security.

Mobile shopping has become core to the online shopping experience. More than 70 percent of Android users surveyed said they planned to make a purchase from a mobile device this holiday season. What’s more, survey participants reported using mobile for purchases more than any other method or device: 40 percent shop online through mobile and 36 percent shop online with tablets and laptops, while less than 20 percent prefer to shop in-store.

Unfortunately, security concerns have grown significantly in recent years.
