Facebook began rolling out a change to its mobile payments process for mobile Web applications that reduced the number of steps users must go through from up to seven to just two.

The social network said in an announcement on its developer blog that the “low-friction carrier billing” is currently available to most mobile carriers in the U.S. and the U.K., and it will be rolled out to other global operators shortly.

Facebook added in the blog post:

Developers that already integrated Facebook Payments on the mobile Web don’t need to do anything to benefit from this new flow.
