PlayHaven secures $8 million in new financing -- Mobile game management and monetization solutions provider PlayHaven announced it has closed an $8 million round of financing led by new investor GGV Capital with participation from existing investors including e.ventures, Tandem Entrepreneurs and individual investors. PlayHaven will use the funds to develop new consumer insights features and to extend its footprint in Europe and Asia. Beeline Interactive releases Monster Hospital on iOS -- Social and mobile games developer Beeline Interactive today announced that its new Monster Hospital app is now free to download for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Following up on the success of Beeline’s Monster Pet Shop, Monster Hospital has the player managing a hospital full of cute creatures. LeKiosk raises $7.1 million in Series B funding -- LeKiosk announced that it has raised another $7.1 million of Series B funding for its 3D digital magazine store iPad app that launched in January 2011. The app charges users a monthly fee to access a wide range of magazines from publishers including Conde Nast, BBC Worldwide and more. NARR8 launches on iPad -- Interactive reading app NARR8 is now free to download for the iPad. Corona Labs secures $2 million in funding -- Venture-backed mobile software company and makers of the Corona SDK Corona Labs announced that it has secured an additional $2 million in funding from Merus Capital and Western Technology Investment. Corona Labs CEO Walter Luh says the company will use this round of funding to accelerate the growth of Corona Labs worldwide and expand its team. Pandora 4.0 update now available for Android -- Pandora's 4.0 update for mobile devices released last night for Android. It adds features from Pandora's web-based version like listening timelines, activity feeds and social sharing features.
