Twitter is expected to carve out a 3.56 percent share of the U.S. mobile ad revenue space in 2014, rising to 3.69 percent next year.
Gains are gains, and Twitter’s slice of the mobile ad pie has been slowly growing year-on-year. Unfortunately, it’s simply not growing fast enough: already a distant third behind Google and Facebook, eMarketer expects Twitter to also fall behind Yahoo in 2015.
Yahoo’s 3.18 percent share in 2014 is tipped to reach 3.74 percent next year, edging out Twitter for third place overall.
Google, meanwhile, while continuing to lose share year-on-year, is still on track for a 35.17 percent stake in 2015, more than double Facebook’s 16.68 percent.
