MMX Racing developer Hutch has released the largest content update to date for its mobile monster truck racing title, bringing World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to the game in the form of new monster trucks, a themed arena and a single-player campaign.
In MMX Racing, players collect, upgrade and customize a variety of monster trucks as they complete head-to-head drag races across multiple race classes.
Each race challenges a player’s timing, as they’re asked to accelerate at the right time in relation to jumps and landings.
This update is called WWE vs. MMX, and it features eight new vehicles inspired by WWE Superstars and Divas from past and present: Stone Cold Steve Austin, John Cena, Triple H, The Undertaker, Paige, The Lucha Dragons and Mark Henry.
With the exception of the Stone Cold Steve Austin vehicle, which is available to win in the game’s multiplayer mode, these themed vehicles are available to purchase either with real money or with special WWE Bucks. Users can win WWE Bucks in Class A races, or purchase them instantly with real money.
This update also offers a WWE-themed single-player campaign, available in a new WWE race class on the game’s race menu. This takes players to the WWE Race Stadium, which offer pyrotechnics as players crash into destructible objects and drive off of ramps.
We’re incredibly excited to be able to announce the release of WWE vs. MMX. Having been huge fans for decades, the fact that we can now add our favorite Superstars and Divas to MMX Racing is very much a dream come true. We hope players everywhere take up the chance to join in the fun of the multiplayer game and see the community grow and enjoying the game as much as we do.
On top of these updates, players can purchase a WWE flag accessory for their existing trucks, and compete in a new multiplayer class. MMX Racing is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
