Minneapolis Airport Men's Room Gets More Action

It's not the Eighth Wonder of the World. But you might think so considering all the ink that the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport's men's room has received in the past five years since ex-Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho) had his wide stance moment there. He was arrested at the airport just after noon for soliciting sex. Over the weekend former TBD GM Jim Brady, in his travels as a consultant, documented his jaunt through the Minneapolis International Airport. Among his stops: the infamous men's room. He posted a picture of it on Facebook. "You'd be shocked," Brady wrote below the picture. "Smack dab in the middle of the busiest part of the airport. In the area where all the terminals intersect. Not exactly anonymous. Just as an homage, I used a wide stance when taking the photo." But finding the restroom wasn't simple. "Airport officials apparently get annoyed when you ask where it is... I didn't need to, but was on the web trying to figure out where in the airport it was, and some sites said don't ask at the information desk. I didn't feel like going inside and taking any more pics, though. Too weird." Too weird? Maybe. But what came next struck a reader as infinitely more odd. TBD's Community Engagement Director Steve Buttry wondered aloud on Brady's Facebook page, "Is it really isolated? What I could never figure out about that whole story is that every airport restroom I've ever been in was full of men using the facilities. Where is there one that's isolated enough that someone would feel safe trying to hook up? I understand how park restrooms can become hook-up places. But an airport?" But perhaps the funniest remark came from someone named Maria who chimed in, "o.m.g. I didn't think anyone could top my Uncle posting a pic of Andy Dick passed out in a wheel chair last month after Southwest refused to board him in Vegas (leaving CES show!) but this takes the cake."
