Microsoft SkyDrive Being Prepped to Give DropBox a Run for its Money?

Microsoft SkyDrive provides a lot of cloud storage space for a great price: Free. Free gets you 25GB of space for Microsoft Office files and photos and 5GB of synced storage space (via Windows Live Mesh). Microsoft has Windows Live Mesh software for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. However, Microsoft does not provide access for Android and iOS (iPhone, iPad) devices. Nor does it provide full access for its own Windows Phone 7. Windows Phone 7 is limited to uploading photos to Skydrive and synching OneNote Mobile.

Liveside.net reports, however, that clients for iOS and Android may be in development based on Microsoft job postings.

SkyDrive client app coming for Windows, iOS, Mac, and Android too?

Seamless file exchange between desktop and mobile devices added to the relatively large amount of storage space SkyDrive provides could give it a competitive edge over current clound storage front runners like DropBox.
