Mickey and Minnie Protest at Walt Disney HQ

The Rainforest Action Network (RAN), a 20-plus year-old organization dedicated to forest conservation, held a protest at Walt Disney’s Los Angeles headquarters because the organization says that studies it conducted show children’s books the company published are made with materials from endangered Indonesian rainforests. Protesters dressed as Mickey and Minnie Mouse held signs at the company’s gates, and the organization displayed a 35-foot banner saying “Disney: Destroying Indonesia’s Rainforests.”
