This time, the social network’s latest update to the Messenger application for Android includes free calling for Canadian users. With this update, Facebook also introduced deeper group messaging options.

In the latest iOS native app update, Facebook added free calling for U.S. and Canadian users, with the call option working off users’ data plans. In January, Facebook gave the iOS Messenger app VoIP powers, but only for Canadian users.
