NYU Journalism Alum Takes the Helm of Meredith’s FamilyFun

Elizabeth Anne Shaw is a veteran of the company's Parents Network group.

Fresh off a recent design refresh, Meredith’s FamilyFun magazine has added two key editorial hires. Joining the publication today as editor in chief is Elizabeth Anne Shaw (pictured), while John Herr is the new creative director.

From today’s announcement:

“I’m so happy to be a part of the Meredith Parents Network team crafting stories and forging partnerships,” said Shaw. “FamilyFun’s readers are passionate about the magazine and its ability to curate the best of the best in creative activities, play, technology and travel for families. As an editor, it’s a pleasure to have an audience that is so excited about your brand.”

Shaw, who holds an M.A. in Journalism from NYU and a B.A. from Binghamton University, was previously the integrated content director at Scholastic Parent & Child. She has also worked as an executive editor at Meredith Parenting Network publications Parenting and BabyTalk, and as deputy health editor at Self magazine.

Herr was previously the creative director at Fitness magazine.
