Like most publishers, Meredith Corporation is serious about native advertising (also known as sponsored content). The Iowa-based publisher of brands such as Better Homes and Gardens, Parents and Allrecipes, has shown just how important that type of advertising is by its purchase of Selectable Media, a company that specializes in native ads.
“With its unique ability to deliver 100 percent viewable and engagement-based video and native advertising to real audiences, Selectable Media deepens our ability to provide marketers with an unparalleled suite of industry-leading and large-scale branded content creation, distribution and optimization solutions,” said Jon Werther, president of Meredith Digital, in a statement.
As part of the deal, Selectable Media’s CEO Matt Minoff and COO Marc Rothschild will have vital positions in Meredith’s ad management team. Minoff will now oversee Meredith Digital’s ad operations, while Rothschild will oversee ad sales, marketing, and ad account teams. Both will report to Werther and be based in New York.
