Facebook Menlo Park HQ Locked Down After Threat

It was a scary hour-and-a-half or so at Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif., Tuesday night, as the San Jose Mercury News reported that the social network’s campus was on lockdown from about 7 p.m. PT until about 8:30 p.m. following a threat that authorities received via telephone.

Menlo Park Police Commander Dave Bertini told the Mercury News the phone call was made to the San Francisco Police Department, and it was transferred to his department, after which the entrance to the complex was blocked with tape and employees were asked to remain inside.
