BILD.de’s German-language soccer game mein Klub took the top spot this week on our list of emerging games, bringing in 21,000 monthly active users for a 233 percent gain. The game is likely benefitting from the enthusiasm surrounding the Euro Cup, which is under way right now.
IGG’s Chinese-language RPG 泰坦戰爭-首款3D大型網遊,全新引擎,史詩大作,超震撼視覺感受,遊覽眾古文明!★★★★★ (“Titan war – the first 3D large-scale online games, new engine, epic masterpiece, super stunning visual feelings, to visit all the ancient civilizations! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★)” took the No. 2 spot with 20,000 MAU, a 100 percent gain. THQ’s UFC Undisputed Fight Nation increased by 20,000 MAU for a 33 percent gain, coming in at No. 3. The UFC title is likely benefitting from the recent E3 announcement that Electronic Arts had acquired all future video game rights to the franchise, which is raising interest in the brand in general. TYLER’s 2008 game Battle Stations was up by 20,000 MAU, a 67 percent gain that secured the No. 4 spot. Finally, Being Human once again appears on our list with 10,000 MAU and a 14 percent increase.
Four other games on this week’s list showed gains greater than 100 percent. The 2010 Chinese-language RPG 天地英雄–最火爆的RPG網頁遊戲 (“Heaven and Earth – the most popular RPG web game”) was up by 10,000 MAU, for a 100 percent gain. Gamelet’s strategy game Twilight Wars increased by 10,000 MAU for a 100 percent increase. Gameloft’s N.O.V.A. Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance: Elite was also up by 10,000 MAU for a 100 percent increase, likely due to fans of the mobile game series being interested in the upcoming sequel this summer. Finally, EA PopCap’s Bejeweled 2 also increased by 10,000 MAU for a 100 percent gain.
