MediaFinder.com tracked 193 new titles launched this year, a sizable drop from last year’s total of 324, and 176 titles shuttered, down from 596 last year.

Surprisingly (to us anyway), the number of print magazines making the switch to a digital format also dropped this year, as 28 magazines made the transition to online-only, compared from 81 in 2009.
