Social entertainment world Meez has just announced a new partnership today with the largest German social network VZNet in which Meez will bring a new level of engagement and revenue channels to VZNet’s community of over 17 million users. Meez’s real-time interactive capabilities such as multimedia portals, social gaming and virtual goods will provide a synchronous and immersive experience that should result in more time spent on the site for the German social networking giant. More after the jump.
Meez’s ability to bring cross-platform social entertainment into an immersive virtual community has proven to generate fantastic results, giving Meez one of the highest engagement rates of any virtual world in the US according to ComScore’s June 2010 figures as we covered recently. An average user visits the site for an impressive 203 minutes per month on average; a number that trails YouTube by a few minutes. This engagement level is consequently helping the company sell hundreds of thousands of dollars in virtual goods every month as well.
“Meez and VZNet share a common goal – to make the online social experience more immersive and engaging for the end user,” said John Cahill, CEO, Meez. “We’re seeing a steady increase in social networks looking to integrate more real-time, game-driven experiences like Meez. studiVZ will benefit from higher engagement numbers and additional monetization from virtual items and subscription sales, while Meez gains access to studiVZ’s dedicated community and an increased user-base.”
Meez will be offering VZNet co-branded studiVZ hangouts that will give personalized Meez Nation experiences to German social networkers. As mentioned, Meez’s video and multimedia portals, along with social gaming and virtual goods, will create an exciting new experience for VZNet users for times to come.
