Media Softball Update
It was a dramatic week in the Metropolitan Media Softball League. Another undefeated team was toppled, a winless team snapped its losing streak, the Post beat the Times for the first time in four years, and one team’s playoff hopes slipped away.
Previously undefeated CNN was swept in its doubleheader by Fox5 and NBC4, but it made no difference in the standings as CNN has already clinched its division.
City Paper ended its season-long losing streak by defeating the Express 14-9.
The Post beat the Times 11-10, bringing the Post its first victory over its in-town rival since 2003.
