Media Mingles at Street Soccer USA Awards
Late last week media-types Maureen Orth, Comcast SporstNet’s Ivan Carter, TIME’s Jay Newton Small, News Channel 8’s Rebecca Cooper, Lauren Vicary and Pamela Sorensen joined power players and soccer players like Ted Leonsis, Maria Cuomo Cole, Jose Garcia, Ben Olsen, Kevin Payne and DC United 2009 MVP Clyde Simms for the Street Soccer USA Sport for Social Change Awards held at the Organization of American States Building in downtown DC.
The event, emceed by Comcast SportsNet anchor Chick Hernandez was held to recognize honorees: Zach Leonsis, Fernando Murias, Darrell Green and Sheila Johnson for their outstanding contributions to the organization.
