Reuters Employee Indicted for Helping Anonymous Hack L.A. Times Website

A former social media manager for the Tribune company has been indicted for allegedly helping in December 2010 a member of the hacker group Anonymous access the website of the Los Angeles Times, a Tribune paper.

A social media manager for Reuters, who had previously worked for the Tribune company, has been indicted for allegedly helping a member of the hacker group Anonymous access the website of the Los Angeles Times.

The indictment stems from events in late 2010, shortly after Matthew Keys, 26, had been fired from his job as a web producer at Fox 40, which, like the Los Angeles Times, belongs to the Tribune. The password had apparently not been changed after his departure.
