When Matt Fuller announced via Twitter two weeks ago that he had been let go from Roll Call, it set off an enthusiastic outpouring of “someone hire him” tweets. And hire him Huffington Post did, FishbowlDC has learned.
Matt Fuller joins Huffington Post as a congressional reporter. “In a short period of time, Matt has established himself as one of the most plugged-in reporters on one of the most important beats in politics,” HuffPost senior politics editor Sam Stein wrote in a memo to staff. “He’s dogged and has a great ability to find captivating stories in the complex personal and policy battles that define Congress. His Twitter game isn’t that bad either.”
That game led to no less than three members of Congress, past and present, adding to Fuller’s chorus of support on Twitter:

I have enjoyed @MEPFuller‘s reporting & have always been impressed w/ his knowledge of the House. I know he will land in a great place soon.

Fuller joined CQ Roll Call just after graduating college, joining initially as a researcher in 2010. He had most recently been the House leadership reporter for Roll Call.
