While eReaders and eBooks have been all the rage online these days, Mashable found that its readers still prefer the printed word.
As part of its Web Faceoff series, last week, Mashable posed the question: “Which do you prefer: e-books or print books?” The social networking site found of the 2,000 people that responded, 41.9% preferred print books to eBooks. While 34.86% of those surveyed said that both have their advantages, only 23.24% of people preferred eBooks.
While print won out, eBooks didn’t do too poorly. Mashable users are a fairly technologically savvy audience, so it is good to see that than 58% prefer eBooks or at least appreciate them alongside print.
