Mashable Community Manager Joins Journalists on Facebook
Vadim Lavrusik has joined Facebook as journalist program manager, leading the new Journalists on Facebook Page and managing the meetup events. The first “Facebook Journalist Meetup” is happening on April 27. he will be based in New York City.
In his post announcing the new job, Lavrusik writes (maybe a bit of foreshadowing with the first link?):
Facebook’s role in journalism has grown tremendously, perhaps showcased during the recent unrest in North Africa and the Middle East, and the growth is only going to continue as new products on the platform are introduced and users become even more accustomed to engaging with content and its producers.
