Foursquare has been rolling out a bunch of new features lately. This latest addition gives the check-in service a purpose beyond announcing one’s arrival after the fact.

The New York-based company announced its partnership with the online reservation site OpenTable in a blog post earlier today:

Much like Google Maps, Foursquare users can hit “Explore” to find nearby nightlife, shopping, food, and other businesses using their current location as a starting point. They can also check out the menu and business hours of the places they find.
