Major Changes at KVEA*

Veteran KVEA-52 reporter and former anchor Maria Garcia has been laid off let go after more than 10 years at the Telemundo flagship station, reports Media Moves. Garcia apparently wasn’t alone. Reporter Vicky Gutierrez, fill-in anchor Roberto Lacayo and weather reporter Ericka Pino were also let go late last week. A KVEA spokesman told Media Moves the station is in the midst of some “personnel changes,” but gave no indication if more cuts are on the way.
