Magazines See Digital Circulation Jump

Ad Age is reporting some good news for magazines: Digital subscriptions jumped a whopping 125 percent in the second half of 2011 compared to the first half of the year. The Audit Bureau of Circulations said that digital circulations were at 3.9 million for the final six months, compared to just 1.46 million for the first six months.

Despite that huge increase, however, digital still only accounts for one percent of magazine circulation. That’s bound to change in the future though, as more people purchase tablets and venture further into the digital world.
