Mike Madden has been Salon.com’s DC corr. since 12/26/07, when he started his new job by flying to Des Moines to cover the IA caucuses and barely returned home for the next month. Before that, Madden worked for Gannett News Service for seven years, writing for papers in Phoenix, Nashville, Sioux Falls and other cities. Earlier, he spent two years covering the South Jersey suburbs for the Philadelphia Inquirer. (And no, he is not related to Kevin Madden, though people do often wonder.
