Former Colleagues Pay Tribute to Deceased Daily News Editor

From 1985 until 2000, when he had to retire because of a diabetic medical condition, Los Angeles Daily News editor Bob Lund was a tireless force in the San Fernando Valley publication’s newsroom. In the wake of his death earlier this month in North Carolina, his former work mates have nothing but high praise for the Florida native.

After working for the Denver Post, San Francisco Examiner, the Dallas Times-Herald, and Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Lund came to the News and ran it after the 2004 Northridge earthquake from a makeshift office in Torrance.
