Local Blog Calls Out Burbank Leader for 'City-Fed Propaganda'

The Burbank Leader recently ran a story about how the city’s Housing Authority avoided a federal audit for misallocated funds. The Burbank city treasurer noticed that $1.3 million intended for the authority’s housing assistance program had been spent on administrative costs, money that was supposed to go to 958 vouchers to private landlords for low-income households. The paper reports that once the Burbank Housing Authority had been informed of their “accounting misstep,” they “contacted HUD proactively.”
