Facebook To Live-Stream Keynotes From Grace Hopper Celebration Of Women In Computing

Facebook will live-stream all three keynote addresses from the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing, which will be held Oct. 2 through 5 in Minneapolis.

The three schedule keynotes at this year’s event are:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 2, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (all times CT): Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg, Harvey Mudd College President Maria Klawe, and Anita Borg Institute president and CEO Telle Whitney.
  • Thursday, Oct. 3, 8:30 a.m.: Cisco Systems Senior Vice President, Services Transformation Ana Pinczuk.
  • Friday, Oct. 4, 8:30 a.m.: Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency Director Arati Prabhakar.

Facebook also awarded 25 Facebook Grace Hopper Scholarships to women studying computer science or other technical majors so that they could attend the conference.

The theme of this year’s Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing is, “Think Big. Drive Forward.”
