Little Baby Roll Call
Word from Heard on the Hill’s Mary Ann Akers that Roll Call’s Senate reporter Emily Pierce gave birth Sunday morning to Georgia Mae Evans Parry.
It is the first child for Emily her husband Joe Parry.
“The baby arrived Sunday morning, weighing eight pounds, seven ounces, with a
shocking head of beautiful hair and a name straight out of ‘Gone With the
Wind,'” Akers writes. “‘You can take the baby out of the South, but you can’t take the South out of the baby,’ the proud mamma, a Georgia native, said.
“Of the new daddy, Pierce said, ‘He’s happy about his two Georgia peaches.'”
