Snow White, Still a Journalist at Heart
Reuters reporter-editor Zorianna Kit has a nice junket interview profile of Lily Collins, the first of this year’s pair of Hollywood studio Snow Whites.
The British born 23-year-old star of Mirror, Mirror (and daughter of pop superstar Phil Collins) told Kit that back in 2008, she was well on her way to becoming a journalist. In addition to getting published in Elle Girl and Seventeen magazines, she covered the U.S. presidential election for Nickelodeon. Collins enrolled in broadcast journalism and communications at USC, only to have a role in The Blind Side thwart those plans:
Collins had to decide between school and acting when she found herself shooting The Blind Side in Atlanta and flying back to LA for exams.
