Self’s ad sale team has been combined with Glamour’s, leading to layoffs at Self. According to WWD, the total let go was somewhere in “the low-double digits.”
The move to combine staffs was made by Glamour’s publisher and chief revenue officer, Connie Anne Phillips. She recently took on an additional role as Self’s publisher.
A Self spokesperson confirmed the layoffs.
“Today we made changes to the business that will allow us to invest in strategic growth initiatives and leverage the audience scale of two great media brands. Our goal is to create the leading women’s platform, offering premium beauty, health and wellness and fashion content, to our consumers and marketing partners.”
